Access Changes Everything: Help Expand The SPACE Fabrication Lab
The SPACE provides a place where the Prince George’s County community can come together to discover themselves and each other through art to heal, share, and question their experiences.
At The SPACE: Free Art For All, we believe creativity, technology, and opportunity should be accessible to everyone — not just the people who can afford it.
Our Tech-Spansion Campaign helps us grow the makerspace forward: expanding access to 3D printing, laser fabrication, digital design, entrepreneurship training, and hands-on creative technology experiences for youth, artists, families, and emerging makers throughout our community.
Every donation helps place real tools into real hands.
Every monthly supporter helps keep the lights on, the printers running, and the doors open for someone discovering their creativity for the very first time.
Whether you give once or grow with us monthly, you are helping build a future where art, innovation, wellness, and community can thrive together.
Become a monthly supporter and help us keep creating access, opportunity, and collective growth year-round.

The SPACE Mini-Doc!
"[The Work of Art]" by Sara Gottschling, US Air Force
"[The Work of Art]" – This video was inspired by an original inquiry about art therapy and the powerful role of art as a healing source. We were honored to be approached by Sarah Gottschling, a talented videographer from Ohio and a member of the United States Air Force Public Affairs Department, who discovered The SPACE Free Art For All through a Google search. Sarah's project began as an exploration of art’s therapeutic impact, a theme she was drawn to for her human interest work and Air Force training.
Our initial conversation led to what was planned as one day of filming, but the project evolved into three days of capturing the transformative energy of our space. Sarah's vision shines through this feature, reflecting her dedication to her craft and the community impact of art.
Note: This video is the property of Sarah Gottschling, and we are grateful to have her permission to share it. Please honor her work by refraining from reproducing, replicating, or sharing the video outside of what’s authorized. Let’s come together to celebrate the magic that art, community, and purpose bring to our lives.
